We've started this week with a bang!
Nixon had his first soccer practice and had a blast! He didn't want it to end! He would run as as fast as he could to his water bottle for water break and have a huge grin on his face. Nixon was so focused on following instructions and loved doing little offense-defense drills. He has some of his best school buddies on his team. We haven't seen them much over the summer so it's been a fun reunion.
In Nixon's words - " I am fast and I am a pro!"
It's definetly going to be a fun season! GO TEAM ORANGE CRUSH!!!!

Now, if that wasn't exciting enough..... he pulled out his first TOOTH all by himself!!!!! It was totally awesome! It's been a big summer event for us because it's been loose all summer and every day getting wigglier!!!! He has always been uncomfortable with the unknown (much like his mom) so you can imagine the MANY talks with him about what to expect with pulling it out. He was so brave and did it on his OWN TIME! He looks adorable and was excited for the tooth fairy treasure. We celebrated with him last night by watching the Tooth Fairy movie. So great!

So... I wanted to share our lives a little, this is what I had time for. We have been having a great, but oh so busy year. Oliver's birthday started us off with a BANG in February.
March- St. Patrick's day is huge in our family. Leprechauns left foot prints all over the house and on the kids faces! We made a trip to Utah for Brittany and Darin's wedding, made the most of it and played with all of our family, and the kids fell in love with the game Crud. (thanks to Brandon and Errin)
April- Oliver started to take walking serious! Did some sewing with my mom and made Mazzy and Mylie Easter dresses, Colin and Grampa Jim got the scooter up and running, Oliver fell in love with fig neutons, We made a trip to so. Cal so Aubry and I could do a Ragnar Realy with a awesome group of ladies, took a day at the beach and Disneyland! (first family trip to the magical kingdom... very exciting), then, to finish the month off...
Celebrated Nixon and Mazzy turning one yr. older and wiser too!!!
May- ALWAYS has to start with the Waldorf May day Celebration and dancing around the May Pole! I love it!!!! We enjoyed the Tenney boys baseball season, Mothers day at the Heward ranch, fun dress up afternoons, My birthday, rollerskating, going to Latitudes finally, Nixon's first School overnight field trip, (in Kindergarten!!! So happy Colin was picked to go with the class), Colin's birthday surprises, and going to the Methvin-Jackson family cabin. I haven't been there since I was Nixon's age. It was so fun!
June- is coming to an end and yup, it's been even more compact with events and busy days. Nixon and his kinder friends did a song and dance number for the school variety show. They did it to the song "My Girl". Can you get any cuter than 5-6 yr olds dancing together?
Nixon and Mazzy had swim lessons and rocked it! Mazzy started gymnastics, Grampa Jim fixed our bikes and we've had fun going for little rides, Kindergarten really came to an end and my heart broke a little, Aubry took us to six flags (marine world), Oliver is sportin' his first freckle on his cheek and YES... I gave him his FIRST haircut!!!! Does anyone else have a hard time doing that? I don't want him looking like a pretty girl, but I didn't want to cut it either!!!!
NOW... Here we are, summer arrived, Colin and I have so many projects to do this summer in ALL of HIS FREE TIME, kids are needing to stay busy, and the little ones and I can sleep in a wee bit! Colleen and the Florida cousins are here for a visit which makes us all super excited, another Utah trip planned in a few weeks, and LIFE is good. Love you all- Signing out :)

I'm steeling time and saying hello to all of my friends and family that I miss soooo much! I feel so disconnected and it is time to change that! I Finally watched Julie & Julia and became totally re-motivated to blog and journal some of my thoughts and memories. I have so many memories to share, but I don't want to become overwhelmed, because when I feel that pressure (only I give to myself), I panic and decide it is too much. So hey, what's up? Life is good, so much to do, love my babies, LOVE being a mom of the most adorable kinder kid! love my bearded hubby, Colin is having a great experience working at Anthropologie, he is such a cute j.v. basketball coach (at waldorf), getting ready for Oliver to be a big 1 yr. old, Mazzy's curls still make us melt, getting used to my mini van, went for a great run along the river yesterday and found my dream home. :) ha ha! We have amazing parents who love and support us and have been so helpful through a rough yr., I love sharing my testimony of our Savior with my family and watching them learn how to pray and enjoy seeing them love each other, went roller skating, and now taking a minute for myself and getting on the computer. Yippie!

Hello to myself and all of you out there! We are alive, living with mom and dad Jackson, and busy with work, school, trying to get rid of and find cars... blah blah blah.
We've had a crazy summer with tons of changes. Things have been pretty rough, but getting better, staying positive, have three crazy radical babies and so many blessings and reasons to smile. :)
I have way to many summer pictures to share, but haven't made the time to sort through them. Lost my camera charger, so here we are.... no visuals. I'm all about visuals. It's like a fireside with out any refreshments.

Nixon is a stud kinder-kid at Orangevale Open. Colin and I get to be the PE parents for his class and loving school so far.

Mazzy starts preschool with Sharon in the morning and has her clothes all out and ready! What a princess!

Ollie is doing awesome, eating and grabbing everything in sight. Loves his johnny jumper and playing with anyone who will look at him.

Daddy Colin is trying to finish up some design jobs that have been going on FOR-EV-ER! He's been having fun making skateboards and is seriously looking for a little more consistent work. He hasn't had time to spend the summer the way he likes -(beach, surfing, wakeboarding, fun summer nights, down time), but he's hangin' in there and trying to stay positive. Eating sunflower seeds like you would not believe and wearing tie died shirts at least 2x a week! No joke!

Mommy Brooke is ready for a full nights rest w/out Oliver waking up! Doing okay, trying to balance a schedule and loving and thankful for the help of Mom and Dad Jackson and Thompson, Aubry and Shannah. They help watch the 3 little ones when I'm working. Yup! I'm the Massage therapist at a spa in folsom a few days a week. Need to get busier, but this is a good way to ease myself back in the insane working world! loving exercising again and spending time with my cute family and Aubry who is now in Lincoln!

Colin and I have taken a few steps back and have done some intense life evaluations. We've made a lot of good changes in the way we live, raise our children and treat each other. So good for us to get out of our comfort zone, be real with each other and make some goals together.

Yes, I truly have the best sister in the World! Aubry took me to Wicked in San Fran for my birthday present! Loved it and oh so much better than the crazy book! Of course we were sitting next to a crazy Utah lady and her family singing and clapping like there was no tomorrow and a child who had a cold. Beside that... we had a GREAT time! We've decided that I tend to be more Glinda and Aubry more Elphaba. But We are both a little more balanced and stable!(so we think) :)
Oliver took a bottle for Grandma Sue and made me so proud!

Here's a post just for our princess. Mazzy had a great birthday way back on April 29th. Exactly one month ago! She has added Cinderella as a second middle name and does a great Motor boat bubble in the pool. Mazzy loves her brothers and thinks life would be so boring with out Nixon telling her what to do all the time. Waffles with peanut butter are her favorite, and doesn't like to wear dresses or skirts that don't have the right "Twirl"!She loves people waiting on her and could spend every waking minute with her grandparents! Nixon is FIVE! We celebrated his arrival on the 23rd and Mazzy's special day is tomorrow. 2 years and 6 days later on the 29th!
Nixon felt so special being student of the week and having a great day. He had "white doughnuts" for breakfast -(his favorite)- and had a kite flying party after school. We had so many friends share the day with us, even Tami and her kids all the way from Utah! He woke up feeling taller and smarter and ready for kindergarten! We ended the night with Chevy's and sombreros! Love you tiger!

Saturday night, my parents had Nixon and Mazzy, Colin was working, Ollie and I went out! What a perfect date he was!
-He was on time and waited patiently for me to get ready
-He smelled amazing
-extremely good looking
-let me take control of the night, I could go into any store I wanted!
-was a great listener, made great company
-We turned many heads (he was quite the thing to look at)
-I could manage the radio
-To die for kisses!
The only downer was that he couldn't drive!

One Month Old Oliver!

Natasha Cockayne took our pictures to celebrate our 1 month mark with Ollie. Didn't they turn out great! We love this sweet little addition. I love his hair line, his cute daddy toes, his warm body next to mine all night, and the tenderness Nixon and Mazzy show him. He is such a good baby. No complaints here. We'd just like to see Daddy a little more. :(

St. Patricks day finally!

Serious celebration at the Thompson's! What exactly are we celebrating? oh well, we love it any way! The day started the night before... Colin and the kids put some coins outside to see if the leprechauns would find it. Sure enough, it was gone the next morning! Wow, the Leprechauns trailed $ through the entire house, tip toed up the kids arms to see if they were asleep leaving green footprints, and caused little mischievous acts in the day! Nixon wanted to catch one so bad. Maybe next year bud!
Corned beef and cabbage was cooking all day with All GREEN side dishes. Thompson Grandparents came over to celebrate and brought a pot of Gold with goodies in it. Last but not least... Irish music playing all day! We sure no how to party with our root beer and cream soda! Green looks great on everyone if you ask me!

For those of you who don't know, we have a Seasonal wall in our house to cover some lovely wall paper. I was done with winter, so my mom came over with a great plan! We decorated for spring with these cute houses, (names on houses chosen by the kids of their favorite places to go). We did a great rainbow, butterflies, and leprechauns. It was a blast! My mom is amazing and we love for her to come over and keep us company with daddy gone so much lately.
We need do do and easter egg hunt on the wall now! So come over and see if you can find everything. It can be tricky, lot's of things hiding!

Jeff and Teresa came over for dinner tonight so Zephyr and Ollie could have their first meeting! What bonding! They both fit in the Moses basket for a photo shoot and ended up having a boxing match! Zephyr is in blue and came prepared with gloves! As you can see... Zephyr won! Must be because he's 2 1/2 weeks older. It's okay Oliver, you're older brother will practice with you!

They are both so adorable! Looking forward to lots of fun times with these 2!
My cousin Errin and I are about 3-4 weeks apart and it was and is the best having a permanent best friend besides our own sisters!

Life with Oliver this past week has been so fun! Mazzy and Nixon are proud siblings!
Our little guy is a trooper and got through all of his jaundice, eats great, sleeps like a new born, and taking all the hugs and kisses very well! I can't stop smelling him!!!! That smell and sweet breath is simply divine!
Thank you to ALL who have been so generous with your time and helped us. I'm starting to feel pretty good... I wish I could just freeze time for a little bit.

8lb 3oz 21 inches! I can't believe it! Huge baby for me! Our little Ollie is adorable and a good mix of Nixon and Mazzy! We are all recovering well thanks to Aubry for taking the older kiddies for a few days.

His double middle name was important to us because we really wanted to name him after my dad (Tim) who was a HUGE help in getting this guy here and Ollie was born on Grandma Knights Birthday. So... there you have it and we love it!

We have been thinking about fish for a while now and decided to get "daddy" some fish for Valentines day that represent his kiddies. Nixon picked the one on the left. It has racer stripes and he named it SPEED (speed racer). Mazzy picked the orange one that has a cute mickey mouse tail and Nixon helped her name it TRIXIE (speed racer). We picked the stipe fish with the red tail for the baby and named it JET (dad loves this name)... oops... it's our pets name so we can't use it as our childs name! Darn it!!!!

Nutcracker with the girls

The "Jackson girls" went to the Nutcracker on Saturday for momma Sue's Birthday! We don't get together for girl nights very often so it was really nice! The ballet was nice also, but we had one complaint... it didn't end the right way. Clara is supposed to wake up on the sofa chair with the nutcracker in her arms and realize that it was all just a dream. Instead, they ended in Sugar Plum Fairy land. It was a little strange, but still worth the while!

We struck a pose with some baby love! Teresa and Jeff are having a boy and is due on Feb. 1st. My due date is the 22nd, so it's going to be exciting to have the cousins so close. Teresa looks amazing. What a beautiful mom! Unlike my swollen prego face! :)

Home for the Holidays!

We have been so busy enjoying the holiday season that I haven't had time to post and share anything! This is our first Christmas home with the kids in our own place, so.... I've gotten a little crazy. I've been waiting 6 yrs. to have Christmas at home! What an exciting time for us to decorate, get our own stockings out of boxes,(we haven't seen them for 7 yrs), get a tree and have a cozy fireplace! I am so thrilled to finally start some of our own traditions and enjoy the spirit of Christmas as a intimate family. Loving it!!!! Stressful though!

Heward Thanksgiving this year! We had a great time together and It has been so nice to see Aub and her family every other weekend for the past few months! Weston is becoming quite the man! He is nine and seems so grown up! He's reading to all of the boys! Adorable! Ethan is a Mazzy lover and they have a great time together. They love sleeping by each other and he loves playing with her. He was helping me make clips for her hair! Family is definetly what makes this time of year so magical! I love them all and am so blessed!

Veteran's Day with Grandpa Knight

Colin's Grandpa past away in 1980 from cancer and we have been learning a lot about him this past year. Colin doesn't really have any memories of him so it has been really exciting to go through pictures and here neat stories about him. Grandpa Knight was an amazing dancer, owned his own dance studio, served his country for his whole adult life and took his family with him all over the world. Nixon was so excited to hear that Great Grandpa flew planes in the war. I've never been to his grave site and we live just across the street from his resting place now. What a perfect opportunity to visit and teach the kids about honoring the Veteran's. Mount Vernon is a gorgeous cemetery! We love you Grandpa Knight and thank you for your service to our Country and family. I can't wait to get dancing lessons from him some day!
Thank you to Grandpa Jackson (who just past away last year) and Grandpa Heward for serving our country as well. We love you dearly and honor your sacrifices.

Survivor night

We love watching survivor as a family. Funny thing is...we used to make fun of the show until we lived with Colin's parents. They love it and sucked us in last season! Nixon and Mazzy make their tent and instead of rice, (which they eat on survivor), they get popcorn with m&m's! Yummy!!! Nothing like dvr and zipping through commercials! A little silly I know, but we have fun talking about the games and strategy with Nixon. Good quality family time!

The bottom line is, He has never liked having such a "commonly used" name. Chris is a very nice name and he thanks his parents dearly for giving him a name, but he want's to be known as Colin now. I haven't turned 30 yet.... I don't know!
Just kidding... He thought it was a good opportunity to make the change with starting his Buisness in California now, even though we did grow up here... He is happy with it, so I am trying. I need to be more supportive, so this is one way of making that mental change for me.

No worries if Chris still slips out of your mouth on occasion, or all the time...but, he would like us to try! :) Thats what we do for those we love!

THOMPSON'S Story book night

For those of you that don't know.... I love doing themed Halloween costumes with my family. Can you guess who we were? Little Red Riding Hood tale. The kids were in costume all day and we acted out the story a few times. It all started in August when Nixon found this werewolf costume. He wanted it so bad that he even earned money for it! Very cute! So... hmmm... what was I going to do with a werewolf? Big bad wolf close enough? My mom and I made Mazzy's hooded cape and Colin (Chris) was the wolf hunter, so I tried to pull off the grandma. Of course I leave my costume for last, so... it stunk! I would've gotten a wig and glasses if I didn't run out of time. I never think about mine until the day of. I'll do better next year. Actually, next yr. Colin is in charge of picking the theme! He wasn't too happy with the wolf hunter deal. I thought we looked cute -minus me- the pregnant grandma! You don't see that every day!

Auntie Shannah scored on some tickets to the Waldorf Pumpkin path. Of course they offer an alternative to Halloween and to everything else that is main stream. It was really neat. We learned a lot of different legends and saw some very pretty pixies and fairies, (Mazzy's favorite)!

The school really has such a magical environment. Maybe it was the incense in the air!

We headed off to our ward trunk-or-treat after Waldorf and did the cup cake walk and doughnut on the string. It was fun, just still trying to get comfortable in the new ward. Then, went around the neighborhood a tiny bit to meet some of the neighbors. Kids loved it! We had so much fun watching them be so brave at the doors. Even with dogs running out and grandpa's scaring them at the door. FUN NIGHT!

We've MOVED!!!!!!

We are now in Fair Oaks and so much closer to all of our daily activities and responsibilities!

We truly do miss being in Placerville, but it is so nice to have space of our own and to pull our life out of a storage unit! It's amazing what you can live without and forget about for a year!

Our TV, PHONE, and Internet won't be hooked up until the 12th. I'll give our info out when we get a little bit more organized. It's till pretty crazy. :)

Aubry took us to Pottery Barn's Star Wars Party! The kids had so much fun playing with their light sabers in line and meeting a few characters. We got some autographs and some great pictures.

After that we strolled down the mall a little further and watched some Chinese dancers. Weston and Ethan were chosen to put on the Lion head and dance around! We all loved it except for Mazzy. She couldn't even watch! Poor thing!

We had a Tie Die Party with the Sumner - Vonasek family last week. Chris is Sure Tie Die is coming back with a vengeance! Thank you for teaching us so many cool techniques! You were all experts! We feel we have skills now! We'll have to take a picture of the finished products. I made some cute burp rags for the baby and Chris made about 4 shirts! Crazy!!!

Heward-Jackson Tahoe Reunion!

What a great weekend! Aub and I planned a reunion trip with our siblings and some of our cousins along with our friends Boyd and Brittney. It was so nice to get together and have our spouses getting to know everyone better as well. We used to do these reunions with my mom's side when we were little, but the family just slowly became too big and too busy. It was time to do it again. One of the neatest parts was staying where we used to stay when we were little. We met up in North Star (Tahoe) at the Stones cabin. I loved reminiscing and laughing about all of the funny memories. It's amazing how different a place can look with adult eyes. It did feel bigger when I was 9, but the funny thing is... I haven't really grown much since then! Oh well!!!

We celebrated Brandon and Ben's Birthday at an interesting German restaurant. What an experience... schnitzel anyone?

Tahoe-Fallen Leaf Lake Weekend

Ryan, Michelle, And Ocean came Labor Day weekend to spend some time at the THOMPSON cabin. We love being together and enjoying all of the family traditions. We do very similar things every trip to Fallen Leaf. It can be a little repetitive at times, but we really would never want to do it any other way. It is so beautiful up there that you HAVE to do it the same so you don't miss any of it's grand splendor.

This is the cute, romantic chapel where Chris and Shannah were christened. And the Falls on the way to Lily Lake.

Nixon was practicing cutting his own food. (getting quite good at it!) And Grandma Thompson and Mazzy practicing colors. So cute!

Going down to the Dock. Labor day weekend was Pretty chilly! I froze my bunz off, unlike Michelle and Chris(kind of) who took some leisure swims! Michelle was training for a triathlon that next weekend and showed us ALL up by getting in that water TWICE!

We love riding around in the back of the truck! One of my favorite things actually!

Nixon is going on week 3 of pre-school already! We love being home so we can enjoy Mrs. Sharon! She has been apart of our lives for a long time. Sharon was one of my Young Women leaders, our Wedding photographer, and now Nixon's special teacher! She has quite the reputation of the best preschool in Orangevale! We love you Mrs. Sharon!!!

I really love GARAGE SALES!!!! We found a serious stash of "Polly's"! The kids have been playing with them NON-STOP! We found a house, tons of furniture, a sweet car, 20 little pets, about 15 dolls, and a plethora of accessories and clothes! I think we're set for the rest of... well... when ever they decide to pass them on! All for $12 I think! SWEET!!!

Now it's my job trying to organize it! Those shoes are beyond mini by the way!

Perfect Anniversary... Kayaking on Lake Natoma

Chris and I celebrated Year 7! Wow It's hard to believe! We didn't start the kayaking trip so well though! I was in the rear and was having a hard time keeping us straight, so that can only lead to Chris getting frustrated with me! I smartened up, switched spots with him, and it was a much happier trip! Then we hit Pizzaria Classico in old Folsom like the good ol' days! I've been craving it for a few weeks now! It's about time the pregnant one gets what she wants!

Yes... Anniversary #7 and 12 weeks pregnant! Yippee for us! The babe should Arrive some where around Feb. 23rd! We're really excited, but really nervous about being out-numbered by rascals!

We had a blast in Utah. It was our first visit since we moved in October. Wow, was it needed! It was so great to see our neighbor friends and all of our family. Oceans first birthday was a blast and it was so fun to play with him. Thank you to Aunt Robie and Michelle for being so good to let us stay with you and share so much of your space. Love you all! See you again in a few days! We're heading out to Utah again with Aubry and the kids. We'll celebrate pioneer day in the right place!

We have had yet another fun filled month! It started with May day and the festival at Waldorf. It was my first time seeing the May poll ceremony. I loved it! I want a May poll next year! I think I might becoming a little bit of a gnome lover! Haha.
Ryan was in town for a few days and of course we all have a blast together. Never a dull moment!
We broke in Bonnie's birthday present. We got her a fire pit in April. It was so fun pretending to camp out in the backyard. It was a great FHE activity!
Chris and I had to get over the fact that our Lake Powell trip was canceled, so we headed to the Coast. (the next best thing)! We rented a pop-up camper trailer thing, (because I'm a wimp) and headed over to New Brighton with the Aldamas, Swarbricks, and Vonaseks. It was great fun bonding with new and long time friends and watching the kids create friendships and fun memories. The weather was getting better everyday to make the trip perfect! My only complaint is that it was too short!!!

I think Nixon and Mazzy blew the candles out so fast that Chris and I didn't even get a chance to make a wish. Do you still make wishes when you turn 30?

With the help of family, I had 30 gifts wrapped and in a certain order for Chris to open. He was a little overwhelmed! I love watching him like that! The 30 gifts ranged from shaving cream, his favorite cereal and snacks, new clothes, pictures from the kids, and of course the "Book" that so many of you helped with. We brought him to tears! It was truely a special moment for him that he will cherish forever. Thank you, thank you!!!! (shutterfly.com rocks)!!!

Mazzy likes to say she is 2 years old, but she also says that she still wants to be a baby! We have a silly one in our family! Mazzy really is a funny little girl. She loves laughing and doing things to get giggles out of her brother. She is an amazing nurturer to her plethora of babies! Mazzy doesn't seem to favor one over another... She loves her babies all the same. (seriously has a collection going and she is only 2!Yikes). She has a solid appetite, loves her grandparents and cousins, says the most adorable prayers, and is attached to sucking on her index finger, but sleeps like a champ! We love our little moo moo dearly! Happy Birthday little lady!

11:04 AM 2004 Was an exciting time for Chris and I! Our little superhero is now 4! What an amazing little man and big brother we have. He wanted a waffle cake for breakfast and the kids had so much fun opening the package that came from Uncle Ryan and Aunt Michelle! Uncle Ryan made the cards! So cute!!!

We are going to meet some family at the new Monster mini golf and the ever so famous Old Spaghetti Factory for Nixon's favorite DinDin!

April 22nd is such a great day! It's Grandma Bonnie's birthday and Earth day! This is definitely a holiday that can be overlooked! I really want to share this day with my family and teach Nixon and Mazzy about ways they can beautify and be a positive influence in their environment.( We're working on our garden and going on nature walks). Not too impressive this year, but I hope to plan more in the future.
I am Nixon's Sunbeam teacher and we have been learning about the creation for the past two months. I am amazed at all that has been created for us!

We signed a lease to purchase agreement with a family on our house and they are moving in this coming weekend! Yipee!!!!!! We feel really good about it and of course hope everything goes as planned. The contract is set for them to lease and then purchase the home in November. We have prayed and fasted quite a bit and have felt really good about the decision made, so we cross our fingers that it all goes well and as planned! We know it has some risk involved, but what else are we to do!?!! Our poor home has been empty since the 1st of Oct.!!! The family moving in love the area and location of the house, not to mention the fact that their best friends are in the ward. We are really happy right now, still a little uncomfortable until November comes and the home is actually purchased, but overall, walking around these past few days with smiles!
We are still planning on staying with Chris' parents until November so we can save and take a little time to get back on our feet. They have been so great to let us take over atleast 80% of their home. They have been such a huge blessing to us.
Chris has done an amazing job. He listed it as a lease to purchase 2 weeks ago and wasn't quite expecting the overwhelming responses! He handled everything beautifully and did a great job screening and doing all of the paper work. Thanks Honey!!!

We had a great December! From going to Monterey and the aquarium to decorating two christmas trees and celebrating the holiday with the Thompson's and Jackson's. Mazzy had a great time making cookies this year and Nixon Loved working on his gingerbread house. We went on a Polar Express adventure, Kings game, and Enjoyed seeing the Thorns in San Francisco.(We miss them sooo much). I loved watching Nixon and Mazzy feel whole again with Pyper and Oakley at their side! We spent Lots of time with Ry Ry, Chelle, and Ocean and wish we weren't so far away from them now. The kids loved watching Ocean doing his new tricks like sitting up and making great new noises! We ate plenty of food and enjoyed the GREAT weather! It was a Holiday to remember!

Oh... I feel the need to explain the pictures of Chris sporting his new CONSTRUCTION BOOTS! It was a funny story. Chris' dad and brother were out fixing some fence posts while Chris was "busy" doing something else. He comes outside all dressed for the occasion with a rootbeer in hand when they are pretty much done. We were laughing and making fun, so he pushed it to the next level with that photo shoot! Hope you got a nice laugh!!!

CONFESSIONS OF A MOMMY BLOGGER

I highly recommend the Wonder Time magazine. I've been getting it for a couple years now and really enjoy the articles and advice given. OKAY... my point in this..... February's issue is great! One of my favorites! They have an article on "mommy bloggers"! Hey, that's us!

One husband asked his wife if she ever worries about being stalked and the wife's reply was great... "The only people who stalk me wear dirty nursing bras and mashed yams. They are, in other words, my people."

Another blogger mom wrote: "I go through my day in a kind of 'compose post' mode, where I'm actively selecting words to describe my children- their beauty, their quirkiness, their inner lives- and that process helps me to see them, to be mindfull of who they are. writing gives me a way to step back and really see it. To watch my kids and feel the gratitude flood through my veins. To connect the dots and tell the story how I really feel it, even though there are a million true ways to tell any story."

So, I thought that was nice to hear. I know we all feel like there is something we really should be doing besides blogging, but hey... being a parent is frustratingly difficult and blindingly beautiful at the same time. Blogs remind us to celebrate the beautiful and that we're not alone in the difficult! GO MOMMY and DADDY BLOGGERS!

It is SO nice seeing the Tenney cousins almost every other week! Parks are the best place to be to spend time together for obvious reasons!!! Mazzy wants to be anywhere that Mylie is. She loves "her baby". She is also quite a brave soul with the jungle gyms. She is excited about the slide and climbing. Nixon was a little more cautious at that age, but his cousins have really helped with his desire to explore and try new things. We love watching them gain great friendships and have a blast together! There is nothing better than siblings and cousins as your best friends!

We spent a few days with Aubry and the kids before Halloween and went trick-or-treating every night! The first night was downtown Livermore, second was at the elementary school, and the third night was their ward trunck-or-treat! The Kids went all in all 4 times! It was a blast! They switched costumes every night and had so much fun getting into character. ONE NIGHT IS JUST NOT ENOUGH!!!!!

Looks like everyone has had a great Halloween! I have so many pictures that I want to post, but I need to filter and decide how much time I want to spend on the computer! We spent last week in Livermore with Aub and the kids and had a trick or treat extravaganza every night. The kids were able to dress up as quite a few different things. It was a blast. My plan is to work on it this weekend and have it ready by monday. It has been a really fun month and so many different things I want to share with everyone! I have been enjoying everyones sites! Hope you all recover from late nights and candy rushes! It was always a fun season as a dental assistant! Go Dr. Abrams! Nail those sugar bugs! :)

We just did the big move from Herriman, Utah to California. The kiddies were angels in the long car ride! As most of you know, our home hasn't sold yet so we just moved in with Chris' parents until we figure out what the next step will be for us. We love our house in Utah and all of our friends and family, so it has been really hard and we miss them terribly! Nixon and Mazzy had sooo many friends on our street. I think that is going to be the hardest transition!

We had a girls night out with some of the gals on the street before we left and a block party pizza night. We can't wait to go back and visit.... oh wait, we still have a house there! Maybe we'll go back and forth each month! Sounds like a great idea! That would be the best of both worlds. We miss you all! Thanks for all of your help.

We are moving this weekend and then going to Hawaii on Thursday..... so I'll work on our blog eventually! Sorry about the nice one picture we've got going on! Chris just arrived to Utah last night to help load up. I have never been so overwhelmed in my whole life! AHHHHHHH!
